Oman's Minister of Heritage and Culture inaugurates children’s library in Muscat

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture presided over the opening of the Children’s Public Library in Muscat on Monday.
The library accommodates some 10, 000 books and targets children aged between 3 and 17 years.
Her Highness Sayyida Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Honorary Chairperson of the Library said that the Library represented a significant addition to the Sultanate’s cultural heritage during the blessed era of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
“The library is one of the biggest specialised book stores concerned with children in the region,” she added. A short documentary was screened during the opening ceremony. 31 personalities related with child culture, including writers and others were honoured at the function.
