Oman's education minister adopts results of student scientific innovations

Muscat: Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, adopted the results of the student scientific innovations in the knowledge development programme and GLOBE environmental programme.
The announcement of these results comes in line with the approach adopted by the Ministry, represented by the Department of Innovation and the Scientific Olympiad on the continuous development of the mechanism for the application of student scientific innovations and the method of evaluation in quantity and quality.
It came during the academic year 2016/2017 by being in Oman Science Festival 2017 in the first version.
Sixty-eight student scientific innovations were classified in the four fields: the field of natural sciences and Mathematics, engineering systems, energy, transportation and environmental science.
They are evaluated by four jury committees that contained specialized academics, researchers and innovators from the Sultanate and abroad commensurate with the pursuit of transparency and fairness for each student business qualified for the final stage evaluation.
The festival hosted a corner for the evaluation of students’ projects in the GLOBE environmental programme, which included 13 scientific research conducted by the students in all the corners.
