Oman receives first part of UN digitalised audio-visual archive

New York: On the occasion of the World Day for Audio-visual Heritage, the UN has provided the Sultanate with Part One of the UN digitalised audio-visual archive as part the support programme provided by the Sultanate for digitalising the UN audio-visual archive.
The exchange took place when Alison Smale Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications received Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, the Sultanate's representative to the UN.
The UN official expressed the world body's thanks and appreciation for the Sultanate's aforementioned contribution.
It is worth mentioning that the cooperation and support programme includes the Sultanate's receipt of copies of the UN digitalised archive and training of Omanis by the UN in the field of archiving and digitalising documents.
