Bank Sohar holds Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme Draw in Buraimi

Buraimi: As part of its ongoing Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017, Bank Sohar has announced a new batch of lucky winners during its monthly draw held in Buraimi. The event was held at the Royal Palace Hall under the auspices of Sheikh Saleh Dhiyab Al Rabiey, wali of Buraimi, and in the presence of invited guests, dignitaries, school students, parents, Bank Sohar staff, and customers.
The bank awarded a total of OMR45,000 as a cash prize to 32 lucky winners - OMR10,000 at the general draws, OMR1,000 at the children’s draw and OMR5,000 at the women draw. There was also branch draws – conducted earlier at the bank’s head office -wherein one winner from each of the bank’s 29 branches won OMR1,000 each.
Highlighting the success of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017 monthly draws, Rajeev Arora - DGM & head Retail Banking at Bank Sohar, said: “We are proud to announce yet another round of successful draws and congratulate all the emerging winners. Events such as this allow us to reach greater success as we meet and greet our valued customers and understand their financial needs. Based on these direct interactions, we have managed to construct the 2017 savings scheme that has proven to be very popular with all our customers due to its mass appeal and a broad spectrum of rewards that makes everyone a winner. The event initiated with Arora and other senior management members of the bank welcoming the guests following which Rashid Al Maskry, District Manager of Al Batinah Region, gave a welcome speech. The event’s agenda unfolded thereafter with a line-up of exciting activities that featured a film screening of Bank Sohar’s 10th Anniversary, school students stage performance, an Omani fashion show, an audience raffle draw and a draw for the monthly Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme.
The event also played host to an organised exhibition by the Bank in order to support the local community where Al Baraim School, Oman Women’s Association (Buraimi chapter), Al Wafa Centre in Buraimi and Girls House were invited to showcase their products that reflected their passion and skills.
Commenting on the event Khamis Masoud Al Rahbi, Senior AGM - Retail Banking, said: “We are delighted to be part of Al Buraimi’s event that brought together members of the community and provided a platform for small businesses and non-profit organisations to showcase and promote their products in the exhibition that took place during the event.”
The monthly branch draws witnessed a customer from each of the bank’s branches win OMR1,000. Meanwhile, Suwaid Al Shukaili from Ibri Branch won OMR10,000 at the general draws, Aws Al Waheibi from Al Amerat Branch won OMR1,000 at the children’s draw and Sanna Al Balushi (minor) won OMR5,000 at the female draw.
