Oman Cricket: Majees edge Al Rehwan; Maniz Azad, Classic and MCCC A record easy wins

Muscat: Majees CT secured a thrilling last-over victory against Al Rehwan in an F Division match at Muscat Municipality Ground III in Al Amerat.
Requiring 160 to win, Majees’ chase was kept on track by an 88-run second-wicket partnership between Haris Aboobacker (39) and Aneeq Jassim (38). A vital 20 off 14 by No. 6 Silambarasu Rajendran, who had also taken three wickets, helped Majees over the line with a ball to spare and three wickets in hand.
Raniz Mohammed and Asif Rehman took two wickets each.
Earlier, Al Rehwan were lifted to a respectable total of 160 for six in 20 overs thanks to a superb 84 not out off 58 balls by Raniz Mohammed.

Adeel, Adnan lift Maniz Azad
Spurred by the brilliance of its all-rounders Adeel Anwar and Adnan Ahmed Klair, Maniz Azad International defeated Muscat Masters by six wickets in an exciting G Division match at Muscat Municipality Ground IV.
Adnan and Adeel bowled well to claim three and two wickets respectively, playing a vital role in stopping Muscat Masters from putting a 200-plus total on the board. Masters finally managed 184 for nine in 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant 65 not out off 44 balls by stylish southpaw Gaurav Honavar.
Adeel led the chase with a strokeful 56 off 36 while Adnan played a stellar role down the order, scoring 36 not out off 21 balls. He was involved in an unbroken 76-run sixth-wicket partnership with Mohsin Ansari who played equally well for his 41 off 26. Majees won the match in 18.3 overs, scoring 188 for four. Mohammed Sarwar took two wickets for 33.

Classic too good for Design
In another G Division clash, Classic Cricket Club trounced Design Group Engineering Consultants by 81 runs at Muscat Municipality Ground IV.
Batting first after winning the toss, Classic raced to a big total of 185 for six in 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant 60-ball 96 not out by Awais Abu that included 15 boundaries. Asif Mohammed scored 29 off 19. Suraj Sukumar claimed two wickets for 36.
Design Group found the going tough from the very outset, folding up for just 104 in the 17th over. Aquibulla Shariff, Suhan Abdul and Taufeeq Mohammed all bagged two wickets each.

Saami, Gyan slam centuries
Two brilliant centuries by Gyan Ganesh (102) and Saami Kabir Khan (101) were instrumental in MCCC A recording a 191-run win over MCCC C in an Under-13 league encounter at Muscat Municipality Ground IV.
Batting first, MCCC A posted a colossal 272 for two in 20 overs thanks to a 205-run opening partnership between Gyan and Saami, who has just returned from having a successful run in Surrey junior league.
MCCC C never recovered from being 57 for five and were bundled out for a meagre 81 in the 19th over. Saami Kabir and Hamza bowled well to claim two wickets each.
