Oman credit rating decline discussed at Majlis Al Shura

Muscat: A number of ministerial responses were discussed by the Majlis Al Shura Office on Tuesday.
The Majlis Al Shura Office held its 22nd regular meeting of the 22nd annual sitting (2016/2017) of the eighth term, under the chair of Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura in the presence of Majlis Al Shura Office members and Sheikh Ali bin Nasser Al Mahrooqi, Secretary General of Majlis Al Shura .
The meeting discussed a number of responses from the ministries on a number of enquiries by the members of Majlis including the reply of the Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs on the fall of Oman’s credit rating; the reply of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries on the citizens’ fish consumption percentage and the reply of the Minister of Higher Education on the vacant seats in government universities and colleges and the social responsibility of the private higher education institutions among other issues.
