Oman athletics: Emmet Jennings wins final race of Muscat Road Runners Summer Series

Muscat: Emmet Jennings overcame a stiff competition to win the sixth and final race of the Muscat Road Runners (MRR) Zawawi Colas Summer Series.
According to information received from the organisers, a total of 56 participants took part in the 5km off-road race near Al Qurm Park.
Emmet Jennings emerged the overall winner in a time of 17:24.
Ed Black took second place in 19:11 while Flash Gordon settled for the third place in 19:11.
Irene Ng’eno was the first female to complete the race and 13th overall in a time of 24:23.
The winner of the Junior 3k race was Oliver in a time of 17:43 with Lucy was second in 18:58 and Ahmed finished third in 22:42.
