The Arabian Stories all set to launch HerStory on May 3

Muscat: The Arabian Stories, the newest digital media platform will launch HerStory, showcasing some of the most inspiring stories of Omani women on May 3rd at Grand Hyatt Muscat.

The event which is first of its kind, will feature inspirational stories of women who have made a mark in the society.

“HerStory is about women who have broken barriers to reach on top. It’s about women who are role models and who have made leaders in the society. On May 3rd, they will share a snippet of their journey with the audience who can get inspired,” said Nishad Padiyarath, Executive Director of The Arabian Stories.

According to Nishad, students from top colleges in Oman, fresh graduates and working women can attend this event to get inspired. “This will be truly an inspiring as well as a motivational event for people who are attending. This is a golden opportunity especially for college students and working women,” he noted.

Her Highness Sayyida Mayya Al Said, the patron of HerStory said it’s a first women-based platform that profiles and celebrates inspirational stories of women. “There are hundreds of Omani women who are doing wonders here and this is a perfect platform to celebrate their work,” Mayya Al Said said.

According to Sayyida Mayya, selecting a handful of women from hundreds who have made marvellous achievements in various fields was not an easy task. “After due consideration, we managed to pick 10 women who have outstanding journeys. From sports and science to entrepreneurship and even aerospace technology, these inspiring women of today and tomorrow have left their mark in every field,” she added. These 10 women will also be honoured for their work at the event.

The entry to the event is strictly through passes. However, interested candidates can register online www.thearabianstories.com/herstory and get an e-invite to watch the event. “It’s a free entry but they need to register online and bring the e-invite on May 3rd to watch the event,” Nishad said.

HerStory event is being held in association with Markaz Al Bahja. Grand Hyatt Muscat is the hospitality partner while Muscat Pharmacy is the gift sponsor. Fahad Express is the travel partner. The event is managed by Orbit Events. Times of Oman is the exclusive media partner.
