Sayyid Haitham attends Iranian president swearing in ceremony

Tehran: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, took part in the inaugural function of Dr. Hassan Rouhani, as president of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the second term.
The inaugural ceremony was held yesterday in which Dr. Rouhani was sworn in as Iran’s president for the second term, in an event attended by representatives of countries including presidents and heads of governments (prime ministers).
During the ceremony, Dr. Rouhani met with Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said who conveyed His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said’s greetings and wishes to the Iranian president and his people further progress and prosperity.
In his turn, President Rouhani asked Sayyid Haitham to convey his greetings and wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people further progress and prosperity.
Sayyid Haitham was accompanied by an official delegation comprising Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs; Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communication and Saud bin Ahmed Al Barwani, the Sultanate’s ambassador to Iran.
