Unified GCC manpower strategy approved

Cairo: The activities of the 46th Arab Labour Conference kicked off here yesterday with the participation of 300 representatives of Arab countries members of the Arab Labour Organisation (ALO).
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower, chaired the Sultanate’s delegation at the conference. The Omani delegation comprises representatives from the Ministry of Manpower, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sultanate’s General Federation of Trade Unions.The delegations taking part in the conference discussed items of the agenda which included the report of the Director General titled “Work Relations and Requirements of Sustainable Development”.
The conference will follow up with the execution of the decisions taken in the 45th session of the Arab Labour Conference and will review the financial matters among other issues.
On the sidelines of the meet, the 55th coordinative meeting of the AGCC States’ Labour Ministers was held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower, where the meeting approved the unified strategy related to manpower in the GCC States.
