Madayn launches supplier certification platform

Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has launched the Madayn Supplier Certification System on the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS). This is the Sultanate’s industry-wide online supplier validation and certification platform hosted on www.businessgateways.com.
National and international suppliers wishing to work with Madayn projects are now mandatorily required to be registered and certified on the Madayn Supplier Certification System.
Eng. Badr Al Abri, Director of Tenders and Procurement, Madayn, said: “Madayn’s Supplier Certification System was officially incorporated into the JSRS – the latest in an expanding list of prominent government and public sector organisations to be part of Oman’s premier online supplier certification platform. It follows the signing of a MoU by Madayn appointing Business Gateways International (businessgateways), which operates the JSRS platform, to develop and manage Madayn’s Supplier Certification System.”
Al Abri added that through the Supplier Certification System, Madayn enables all manner of vendors, contractors and suppliers – national and international – to be a part of a streamlined, transparent and robust procurement process. National and international suppliers interested to offer their products and services to any of the projects in Madayn’s industrial cities will now have to be registered on the JSRS and then with the Madayn Supplier Certification System hosted on the JSRS platform.
Existing JSRS certified suppliers can apply directly for the Madayn Supplier Certificate through their account login on the JSRS platform. Madayn Supplier Certification is awarded after a validation and approval process jointly by businessgateways and Madayn and is valid for a period of two years.
National and international suppliers and contractors new to JSRS, can visit www.businessgateways.com and register for the JSRS certification process. Once certified on JSRS, they are pre-qualified to apply for Madayn certificate. The online certification process enables local Omani and international companies alike to obtain Madayn certification online, from any part of the world.
Al Abri pointed out that Madayn’s integration into the JSRS platform is a further testament to its powerful appeal as a comprehensive, one-stop information resource on local and international contractors, suppliers and service providers that are qualified to compete for business and contracting opportunities in the Sultanate.
