Muscat: Oman’s embassy in Islamabad has issued a statement regarding the criminalization of kidney transplants within the Pakistani law.
In a statement, the embassy said: “The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Islamabad would like to warn Omani citizens wishing to visit the Islamic Republic of Pakistan that the transfer of kidney (outside the family framework) is classified in the Pakistani law as a human trafficking crime, and its participants are subject to the law and imprisonment.”
