Huawei brings P series and Mate series to region

Muscat: In an interview Jason Chen, Chief Marketing Officer, Huawei CBG, MEA speaks about the various features of the new service of smartphones.
What’s the message behind ‘Huawei Rewrite the Rules of Photography’? What do expect to see within the next two years?
I think our concept behind it is to change the user’s expectations of smartphone photography by achieving the highest camera resolution. The main camera has 40MP with Super Spectrum sensor ultra-wide-angle camera, a 8MP telephoto camera, and a 32MP front camera that takes selfies to a new level. The reason behind all this is to improve technology and provide the best quality for the consumers. During mid-July, they will be new improvements on the video experience. We would like to further enhance our technologies when it comes our laptop, head phones, TV and smart watch.
You released the Mate 20 few months ago. How did releasing two Huawei phones in such short notice affect the sales of help the company? What’s the difference between P series and Mate series?
Our aim is to fulfil the customers’ needs by providing and delivering professional, high quality service and assistance. I think releasing a phone every year is too long because customers are always expecting new technologies and new updates in their smartphones. Our focus isn’t just on sales but on innovation and delivering exceptional products. We would like our customers to benefit from our advanced technologies. The P series USP is its camera and design and the Mate series is its super charge and reverse phone charge battery.
How is Huawei integrating the security aspect in its products to ensure customers aren’t exposed to any cyber risks?
We are a privately company owned and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. We are committed to developing the most innovative and secure technology for a fully intelligent world. Security and safety are of utmost priority for us. We invest heavily in security to ensure all Huawei products are safe to use.
Can you elaborate more about P30 Camera
The main camera has a 40MP power with a Sony 1.7-inch sensor; it offers a higher maximum ISO than Mate 20 Pro, as well as powerful features. The four colour filter (Red-Yellow-Yellow-Blue), Huawei removes the Green color filter and replaces it with two Yellow color filters to increase the camera’s ability in low-light conditions. For the second camera, the P30 Pro carries a 20MP resolution and is reinforced with a 27m. Also, the camera that has 8MP resolution uses unique technology with the same mechanism as the periscope and can produce 5 times optical zoom. Finally, it functions as 3D to produce a more real bokeh effect.
