Egyptian president, Alawi review bilateral ties

Cairo: Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of Egypt received at the Federal Palace, yesterday, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs.
Alawi conveyed the greetings and wishes of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the president. Alawi also reaffirmed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries.
In his turn, President Sisi asked the minister to convey his greetings and wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people further progress and prosperity.
The leaders reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries in the various spheres. and discussed regional developments and crisis in the region.
They agreed to enhance efforts aimed at reaching political settlement in the countries undergoing crisis in the region.
The meeting was attended by Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Foreign Minister and Dr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Isa'ei, the Sultanate's ambassador to Egypt and permanent envoy to the Arab League.

Meanwhile, Alawi also met with Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Foreign Minister. They discussed ways of further enhancement of the bilateral relations between the two countries, issues of common concern and the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
Alawi reaffirmed the good relations between the two countries and the Sultanate's support to Egypt in combating terrorism .
In his turn, Sameh Shoukry, praised the relations between the two countries and reaffirmed his country's keenness for further enhancement of the bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields. The two sides stressed the significance for commencement of preparations for the meetings of the Omani-Egyptian Joint Committee scheduled for October.
