French tourists flock to Oman

Muscat: More than double the number of French visitors came to Oman in January this year compared to the same month last year.

French market statistics from SETO, the Association of Companies Tour Operators, reveal that visitors from France to Oman grew by 128 per cent, thanks to the marketing campaign carried out by the Ministry of Tourism in Oman.

The rise is the biggest in the Middle East, and Oman also saw a 158 per cent rise year on year, edging out Lebanon, which witnessed a 153 per cent rise.
