Two arrested for bid to smuggle Khat into Oman

Muscat: Two arrested for attempting to smuggle Khat into the Sultanate.
Coastguards from the Dhofar Royal Oman Police foiled an attempt to smuggle Khat by two Arab men. They were arrested in Oman’s regional waters off the coast of Wilayat Dalkoot.
They found large plastic bags filled with the drug in their boat.
The suspects, along with the drugs, were sent to the Department of Inquiries and Investigations to complete legal procedures.
