Sayyid Badr receives French honour

MUSCAT: His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the French Legion of Honour, which was granted to him by President Emmanuel Macron.

The Order was handed over to Sayyid Badr by Renaud Salan, the French ambassador to the Sultanate during a ceremony held at the French Embassy in Muscat

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the medal was given to Sayyid Badr, ”In recognition of his efforts and contributions to the strengthening of the relations between Oman and France.”

In a statement online, Sayyid Badr said: “Honoured to receive Legion d’Honneur from the President of the French Republic and I am grateful to French Ambassador to the Sultanate Ambassador Renaud Salins for the warm ceremony today ( Monday).” - With inputs from ONA
