Sarco crowned Senior Division Knockout champion

Muscat: Sarco was crowned Senior Division Knockout champion, beating Al Mardhuf by 38 runs in the final, thanks to Pradeep Salian’s superb spell in which he picked up 4 for 35 at Muscat Municipality ground one in Amerat on Friday.
Pankaj Khimji, senior Board Member of Oman Cricket, was the chief guest at the prize-giving ceremony that followed the finals and gave away the trophies and other prizes to the winners and the runners-up as well as the star performers in the presence of Madhu Jesrani, Secretary Oman Cricket, Kiran Asher, Dad Mohammed Al Balushi, Board Members, Duleep Mendis, Chief Development Officer, and senior OC officials. Invited to bat first, Sarco posted 164 for 9 on the board in 20 overs.
Ajay Menon (33) and Abrar Hussain (25) were its main scorers. Al Mardhuf failed to rise to the occasion, folding up for a paltry 126 in the 19 th over. Pradeep Salian was the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets while captain Zahid Hafiz bagged two.
