Oman's Muscat Municipality committee gets new chairman

Muscat: Malik bin Hilal Al Yahmadi is the new chairman of the Public Affairs Committee of Muscat Municipality Council.
Qais bin Mohammed Al Mashari is the new vice chairman.
The selections were made on Wednesday at a meeting of the Public Affairs Committee of the Muscat Municipality Council held to select a chairman and vice chairman of the committee from among the members.
The committee has reviewed a proposal on the Ministry’s decision on cessation of authorising recruitment of expatriate manpower on a temporary basis in some activities.
It hosted Salim bin Nasir Al Hadhrami, Director General of the Directorate General of Planning and Development at the Ministry of Manpower, who conveyed the Ministry’s views on regulating the issue of expatriate manpower in the activities on which temporary decision has been issued suspending recruitment.
