MUSCAT: On March 23, 2015, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, returned to the Sultanate after successfully undergoing a treatment in Germany.
Omanis and expatriates had waited impatiently for HM the Sultan's return after eight-month long of treatment that extended from July 2014 to March 2015. When the news about His Majesty the Sultan's safe return broke, Omanis and expatriates flocked to streets to express their joy for HM the Sultan's safe return.
On that day, which fell on a Monday, employees in both the public and private sector, students in different schools and colleges all organised programmes to express their happiness on HM's return. In Muscat and other regions, buildings, roads, bridges, schools, colleges and vehicles were decorated with national flags and HM's picture.
