Dairy products’ firm brand name launched in Oman

Muscat: Oman National Dairy Products Co. Ltd SAOG (ONDPC) has benefited from the services provided by Al Raffd Fund and the Public Authority for SMEs’ Development ‘Riyada’, said Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry.
Al Sunaidy launched the brand name of the company ‘Al Luban’.
The company has been very small but within four years it managed to establish an Omani high quality product extracted from the Omani frankincense. The product meets some daily medical needs of consumers.
Dr. Salim bin Said Al Wahaibi, ONDPC Vice-Chairman for Studies and Innovation said that the company was established in 2013 as a very small company but managed to create an Omani identity with international dimension in health and cosmetic fields. The company also managed to get international certificates in this field.
ONDPC focused on frankincense and relied on the researches and studies published on frankincense use in producing a health and cosmetic product. “The company selected ‘Al Luban’ as its brand name as it makes reference to the old civilizations where frankincense had many uses,” he added.
ONDPC received OMR95,000 loan from Al Raffd Fund and managed to increase the company capital after three years to about OMR0.5 million, he concluded.
