US Naval Commander visits Oman
H.E. Dr Mohammed bin Nasser bin Ali Al Zaabi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, receives Vice Admiral Brad Cooper

Muscat: His Excellency, Dr Mohammed bin Nasser bin Ali Al Zaabi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence received Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of US Naval Forces Central Command on June 10, 2021.  

The Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces also received Vice Admiral Cooper. A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, "Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis al-Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces, received, on June 10, 2021, in his office, Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command, and his accompanying delegation that is currently visiting the Sultanate."

During the meeting, they exchanged views on a number of military matters of common interest to the two sides. The statement added that the meeting was attended by Brigadier Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Mantheri, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, a number of senior officers of the Sultan's Armed Forces and the US Ambassador to the Sultanate.

Air Vice Marshal the Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman also received Vice Admiral Cooper. A statement issued by the Oman News Agency (ONA) said that Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hamad al-Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) received Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command, in his office at Al Murtafa'a Camp.
