Oman golf: All set for A’Saffa Golf Tournament

Muscat: A’Saffa Foods, Oman’s largest fully integrated poultry project and producers of Oman’s finest, natural and tasty healthy snack food range - will organise the third edition of the A’Saffa Golf Tournament at the Ghala Golf Club on January 14.
An 18-hole competition, the tournament is open to all golfers with a registered handicap in the Sultanate, and will begin at 6:30 am and finish early evening. “Through the A’Saffa Golf tournament, A’Saffa aims to not only bring together and recognise top quality golfing talent but also increase the awareness of the sport in the Sultanate,” the organisers said in a press statement.
Sidhartha Lenka, Head of Marketing and Sales at A’Saffa Foods, said: “It is an honour to be able to host members of the local golfing community and supporters of the A’Saffa Foods family in our annual golf tournament.
“The A’Saffa brand has been associated with halal, fresh, pure, tasty food and healthy living since the time of its inception. Through the A’Saffa Golf Tournament, the company’s mainstay sporting event, we endeavor to promote healthy choices through the game of golf.”
He continued: “On tee day - players will be greeted with a sumptuous A’Saffa barbeque spread, post the tournament. The barbeque will feature A’Saffa poultry and meat products, which are completely natural and pure, and contains no added hormones, no steroids, no artificial flavour and no water injections to increase the weight of the product.
“That’s not all, an awards presentation ceremony felicitating the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up, ladies winner, and junior winner will be held in the evening, and will be followed by a delectable dinner for all attendees.”
As golfing facilities have rapidly improved in recent years, the number of golfers continues to grow as well. With the A’Saffa Golf Tournament it is the brand’s endeavour to do their bit towards popularising the game in the Sultanate, along with using the event as a platform to showcase their range of healthy and tasty savories.
Based on the positive feedback garnered for the tournament each year, A’Saffa is confident that this year’s edition too will be a success and will serve as the perfect playing ground for avid golfers in Oman.
