State budget for the fiscal year 2017 receives assent from Oman State Council

Muscat: The State Budget for the fiscal year 2017 has been approved by the State Council and will now be sent to the Council of Ministers with recommendations of the State Council and Majlis Shura.

The State Council at its second regular session of the second annual sitting of the sixth term, approved the State Budget for the fiscal year 2017 received from the Majlis Shura after extensive discussion on the report prepared by the Expanded Economic Committee, comprising of the honorable heads of the Standing committees and the Economic Committee of the Council.

The session was chaired by H.E.Hon.Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, State Council Chairman in the presence of honorable members of the Council and H.E.Dr.Khalid bin Salim Al Saidi, Secretary-General of the Council.
