Savour Italian food this week in Oman

As part of the Italian cuisine week which is being celebrated all across the world, a series of activities presenting Italian cuisine and gourmet products will be featured in the Sultanate through collaboration between the Embassy of Italy and some hotels and Italian restaurants in Muscat. Starting November 21 till November 27, The Extraordinary Italian Taste, Italian cuisine week will take place across the world. It is a part of Italy’s campaign aimed at enhancing the richness and variety of the Italian food and wine tradition as well as promoting the authentic Italian products. It also aims at raising awareness for made in Italy.

Italian restaurants and cafes in Muscat such as Capri Court, Come Prima, Illy café, La Fattoria della Pizza, Kargeen Caffe, Il Gelato, Tomato and Tuscany will present at their premises to the public a dedicated menu based on high quality Italian products associated with regional culinary traditions and territories.

Hotels like Grand Hyatt, Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, and Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah will also take part in the week of Italian Cuisine. The region of Sicily, one of the richest in culinary tradition and food and wine production in Italy, will showcase with a Sicilian chef presenting Sicilian specialties and products.

A food and wine tasting event will be held at the Residence of Italian Ambassador to the Sultanate. Today, an Italian culinary class will be organised at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in collaboration with OSFRA. The event is in support with the important sponsors such as Maserati Oman, Oman Air, Oman United Agencies, Federici Stirling Batco, and Strategic Investment Group.
