His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’s vision, leadership praised by Pakistan Prime Minister

Muscat: November 18 is celebrated as the National Day to commemorate the new chapter of growth and prosperity of the Omani Nation; a landmark achievement under the sagacious leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. It thus rejuvenates our spirit.
In his message from Pakistan addressed to His Majesty, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has praised the vision and leadership of His Majesty the Sultan as a beacon of peace & friendship in the region.
His Majesty’s vision has been successfully translated into practice by the Omani Nation to attain a remarkably peaceful and prosperous society. It is a direct consequence of the noble principles of amity and non-interference that have earned His Majesty, and the Sultanate, regional respect and international praise.
I therefore convey our heartiest felicitations to His Majesty and our brotherly Omani people on the occasion of the National Day of the Sultanate of Oman and extend our sincere prayers for His Majesty’s health and happiness. May Allah Almighty grant him further success in his endeavours to serve his people.
Modern day Pakistan and Oman’s are both strategically placed individually in their regions. Our two people have enjoyed relations pre-dating Islamic history which have remained deeply anchored in the two nation’s shared values. Their proximity and historical links accord them further strategic significance with respect to each other.
I am pleased to observe that Oman is a home to over 260,000 Pakistanis. Our community take prides in its modest contributions to the development and prosperity of Omani society and feel at home among the most hospitable Omani nation.
On the auspicious occasion the quarter million Pakistanis residing across the country are holding “7 cities – 7 days festival” to mark the National Day Celebrations which was formally launched from Pakistan School Salalah on November 12, 2016. This is a reflection of the strength of our historical bilateral relations and the blood bond between our two people.
Therefore, I take this august opportunity to extend our heartfelt felicitations to His Majesty and the brotherly Omani people on the Sultanate of Oman’s 46th National Day.
May Allah bless the Sultan and Omani people.
