It is a joyful occasion for the citizens as well as theexpatriates to celebrate the National Day of the Sultanate as it gives the opportunity to look in retrospectat the journey the country has embarked on in the last 46 years under the visionary leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.The Sultanate has undergone remarkable transformation, which has culminated in the creation of a modern nation.TheSultanate is hailed by the international community for its achievements as well as its role as peacemaker in the region.
Peace and harmony in the Sultanate is unique which has made expatriates including Sri Lankans to feel this country as their second home and bring their families to live with them in Oman.The Sri Lankan community is content with its stability, the warm hospitality and the friendliness of the people of Oman.Sri Lankans join with enthusiasmalong with their Omani brothers and sisters in celebrating the National Day of Oman.
I would like toplace on record my sincere gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan and the Government of Oman for the continued support to deepen the bonds of friendship and foster cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Sultanate.
On behalf of the Government and the Sri Lankans living in Oman, I would like to extend best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for his personal health, happiness and well-being and continued peace, prosperity and harmony for the people of Oman.

Sultan Qaboos bin Said and to the Omani People for the lasting and prodigious achievements gained in the Renaissance of the Sultanate of Oman. Renaissance is also a period of civilization that refers to Italy’s history from the middle of the 14th to the 16th century, characterized by the flourishing of arts, literature, science, culture, social and economic life focused on the needs of people. All this elements are perfectly integrated in the wise and far sighted rule of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said, together with the respect for peace and tolerance in a strong message internationally recognised for lasting peace and prosperity of this beautiful Country and People as well as to the World.

I am confident that, under the wise leadership and guidance of His Majesty, the Sultanate and her people will prosper and develop further in the years to come.

We, the Korean community in Oman, are honored to join in the march together with our Omani friends in congratulating His Majesty Sultan Qaboos on the 46th National Day.
Under the wise and great leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, I have witnessed the peace, progress and prosperity which the Omani people and foreigners like us enjoy in day to day life, and also his immense contribution to maintaining regional peace and stability. This all has made Oman a very attractive destination for businessmen, tourists and the students as well.
We cherish the long standing friendship bond between our two countries which is built on mutual trust and multilateral close cooperation in political, economic and cultural. Especially Korean companies, in hand with their Omani partners, are working in all of a sweat to participate in the long term development plan / 2020 vision in the hope of bearing good fruit much like the supermoon. Both the countries are now very well positioned to move forward and take much bigger strides towards a shared future.
Thanks to our growing relationship, the new Korean Embassy building opened its door this month which is a great momentum in Korea-Oman relationship and will act as a strong bridge connecting our two countries and peoples.
Taking this opportunity, we earnestly wish His Majesty Sultan Qaboos good health and his great country Oman continuous success for the years to come.
