Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organises Omani-Lebanese Business Forum

Muscat: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, yesterday organised the Omani-Lebanese Business Forum.
The forum aims at presenting investment opportunities and organizing B2B meetings among Omani and Lebanese businessmen.
Said bin Saleh Al Kiyoumi, OCCI Chairman gave a speech during which he said that the initiative of organising the Lebanese Week in Muscat comes as part of the joint endeavour between OCCI and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
He added that this kind of effort is on the right track to set up economic partnerships and joint ventures. Hussam Deyab, Lebanese Ambassador to the Sultanate said that the Lebanese and Omani agencies have struck the necessary agreements that allow giving the floor for enhancing the trade and investment relations between the two brotherly countries.
The forum included presentations on economic authorities and institutions in both countries with the objective of highlighting their vital role, as well as available investment and trade opportunities.
The Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa) and the Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm (SEZAD) gave presentations from the Omani side whilst a presentation was given by the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) from the Lebanese side, in addition to organizing B2B meetings between businessmen from both countries.
