Four rescued from vehicle stranded in wadi in Oman

Muscat: Emergency crews rescued four people who were stranded in fast flowing wadi waters in Sohar, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) reported on Wednesday.

The people were rescued from their vehicle. A man sustained moderate injuries and a woman survived with minor injuries, according to PACDA.

PACDA said that the operation took less than 15 minutes and was accomplished with the help of citizens.

The injured were transferred to a nearby hospital.

PACDA called people not to risk crossing flowing wadi waters and wait instead inside the vehicle until it is safer to drive.
