46 Omani, Indian artists to paint for peace on the 46th National Day

Muscat: Art competition ‘Paint for Peace’ invited 23 Indian artists residing in Oman and 23 local artists to express their take on global peace at the Omani Society for Fine Arts.
The two-day painting competition is an initiative organised by Bhavalaya, a global platform for art and culture, under the patronage of the Indian embassy as a tribute to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said on Oman's 46th National Day.
Art submissions will be accepted from 27th September to 10th October and free of charge for Indians living in Oman and locals of the age of 18 and above.
While the judgement, exhibition and prize distribution ceremony will be held on 2nd November 2016.
Two eminent judges from India and two from Oman will judge the paintings which will be exhibited for the public on the third day of the competition.
Three winners from each group will be awarded apart from the best painter of the event.
The contest is open to professional as well as amateur artists but each participant is only allowed to submit one painting/sketch under the theme" peace".
