Muscat: Children, undoubtedly, are one of the most beautiful creations of God.Their faces glow with a smile when they get the chance to have lots of fun. Muscat Festival is one event that brings lots of smiles and laughter on the faces of kids.
Special arrangements have been made in Al-Amarat Park for children where they can enjoymagic shows, jokers, jumping castle, fun rides and acrobatics. There are many food stalls where children get to eat their favourite sweets and delicacies.
Muna Al Raisi, mother of a 6-year-old boy named Issa, feels quite happy with the extravaganza at the Festival."I am visiting Al-Amarat Park on an almost daily basis because there are many rides and other fun elements for children.My son loves to play on the jumping castle.He insists that I bring him here daily," she added.
Most catchy event for the kids in Al-Amarat Park is the magic show where children, including 9-year-old Ayesha, are amused by the illusions."I wish to learn all these magic tricks and become a magician when I grow up," Ayesha told the Times of Oman. The young girl thanked the Muscat Festival organisers and performers for their efforts and declared the arrangements as "really awesome".
While many children have a wonderful time on the water boards, paddling pool and water ball fights,11-year-old Lougan said he couldn't find a swimming pool for a swim, and complained that the area for water boarding is also very small. "I wish to have more water rides,"the young boy added.
Food is the most important part of the Festival, with food stalls of several countries bringing versatile flavors to visitors from different parts of the world. Muhammad Al Balushi, another visitor,told the Times of Oman that he would like to taste different foods."I think during the Festival there is a good chance to try food from different countries, but like always, my kids force me to buy them fast food," he said.
Muscat Municipality has managed to make some wonderful arrangements at Al-Amarat Park. Most of the parents the Times of Oman spoke to commended the Muscat Festival organisers for doing a good job and ensuring that their kids had a good time. For more details, pl
