Register online to participate in Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention: Indian embassy in Oman

Muscat: Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote speech at next year's 14th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention.
Online registration for the convention is now open, the Indian embassy in Oman said.
The convention will be held from January 7 to 9, 2017 in Bengaluru.
“Online registration is open at the website www.pbdindia.gov.in which also contains details of the programme. Registration of all delegates is through an online process, which includes payment of registration fee,” the Indian embassy added.
For young Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Person of Indian Origins and for group registrations, a discounted registration fee option is available.
The last date for registration online is December 7, 2016.
The theme of the 14th PBD is “Redefining Engagement with the Indian Diaspora”.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address on January 8 and chief ministers of select states will address the delegates and invite them to participate in various developmental programmes of the respective states.
The PBD will conclude on January 9, with a valedictory address delivered by President of India Pranab Mukherjee, who will also confer Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards.
During the convention, ‘Youth PBD’, a special segment, which was introduced at the 13th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, will be held.
