Oman entertainment: IMAX theatres coming soon in the Sultanate

Muscat: IMAX theatres, an acronym of “image maximum”, is coming to Oman.
Speaking to Times of Oman, a senior official of the VOX Cinemas said that IMAX will be introduced to VOX, City Centre Qurum. “It will be opening in September 2016 and the first movie that will likely to be screened Sully,” a spokesperson of VOX Cinemas said.
Sully is an upcoming American biographical drama film directed and co-produced by Clint Eastwood and written by Todd Komarnicki.
The film stars Tom Hanks with Aaron Eckhart and the film will be released on September 9, 2016.
IMAX is a technology that allows for greater size and resolution in film, resulting in higher quality, sharper imaging and exceptional clarity.
