Turkey coup attempt: 100 Omani passengers to be evacuated

Muscat: A special flight from Turkey carrying around 100 Omani passengers will land in Oman tonight, an Oman embassy official in Turkey confirmed.
“The flight is expected to take off from Istanbul International Airport around 3pm (Turkey time) and it is expected to reach Sultanate by tonight,” official told Times of Oman.
On Saturday, Oman’s Foreign Ministry had announced that it is going to evacuate Omanis through private aircraft.
The embassy officials in Ankara urged the Omanis to stay away from the site of skirmishes and contact the embassy in case of an emergency.
