#OmanPride: Omani striker visits sick children in Sohar hospital

Muscat: Prominent Omani footballer Emad Al Hosni visited the children’s ward at Sohar Hospital recently during Qaranqasho, a celebration for children held across the Arab world on the fifteenth night of Ramadan. At the hospital, Al Hosni distributed gifts to sick children and spent time with them.

The children were delighted to see Oman’s top footballer in their company, and were excited when greeted by him.
Speaking to the Times of Oman, Al Hosni said he was pleased to visit these children and bring some happiness to them.
“I felt great and happy on visiting these children, and I think, as Omanis, it is our duty to visit these kids, celebrate with them and share joyous moments with them, as well as make them feel they are just like other kids who should play and enjoy.
I think we must always come together with patients and support them whenever we can,” noted Al Hosni.
Al Hosni is one of Oman National football team’s most popular players. He was previously signed by Charleroi, a Belgian football club, becoming the second Omani to play for a European club, after Ali al Habsi.
