Oman umpires to join ICC officials

MUSCAT: The Quadrangular Series being hosted by Oman from February 13 to 17 will see International Cricket Council (ICC) match officials coming over to supervise the tournament and they will be joined by two senior local umpires.
Graeme Labrooy, former Sri Lankan Test player, will be conducting the tournament as the ICC match referee while Ahsan Raza of Pakistan has been assigned to officiate the games as an ICC umpire.
Senior Oman Cricket umpires Rahul Asher and Vinod Babu will join them to form the four-member team that will conduct the five-day T20 Quadrangular Series at Amerat’s beautiful ground 1. “We are proud to have been given the opportunity to officiate in such a prestigious tournament and are looking forward to working with senior ICC officials to ensure a wonderful series,” said Asher, who has umpired in many ICC and ACC tournaments before.
