Oman Post launches commemorative stamps

Salalah: Oman Post has launched a set of commemorative stamps, post cards and envelopes with the Salalah Tourism Festival 2014 logo, at the municipality's recreation centre.

The event was inaugurated by Sheikh Salim Al Shanfari, head of Dhofar municipality and head of the organising committee of Salalah Tourism Festival 2014, in the presence of Said Tabouk, general manager of Oman Post in Dhofar Governorate.

The memorabilia has been produced to promote tourism in the Sultanate, wherein promotional messages are sent to the world via Oman Post about tourism seasons and festival activities.

The postage stamps portray  heritage, culture and trust along with loyalty and support to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and to the Omani people. They also provide information about the fall season and have welcome messages to all visitors and fans of the festival under the slogan 'The Love for Oman, Unites Us'.

Tabouk, said, "The launch indicates the importance of participating in the festival as well as promoting it in the Sultanate in general."
