Muscat: Three social responsibility agreements were signed between the Ministry of Social Development and the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI), Fund for Development of Youth Projects (Sharakah), Injaz Oman and BP Oman under the auspices of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sa'ayed Al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development.
The first agreement is related to training 220 jobseekers, who are members of families classified under social security and limited income families.
The second agreement is related to training 3,000 youths in educational and professional programmes, leadership and road safety programmes.
The third agreement is related to providing supervisory services for 30 start up projects for entrepreneurs and enhancing the skills of 500 persons in this regard. They also include providing entrepreneurs with commercial and financial planning skills to ensure the growth of these projects, locally and regionally.
The minister said that the agreements aim at promoting the professional capabilities and skills of the Omani youth.
Sheikh Abdul Wahab bin Nasser Al Manthri, Director General of Craft Industries said that the agreement is part of the cooperation between PACI and the Ministry of Social Development to serve members of the social security families.
