Muscat: The first Oman International Medicine Conference (OIMC) will take place from February 6 to 8 next year under the patronage of the Ministry of Health.
The conference will focus on different aspects of internal medicine, the Royal Hospital Oman (RHO) announced.
More than 400 medical professionals and experts are expected to attend the biennial event which will feature renowned speakers and experts from both international and the GCC countries.
Participants can share updates with sessions focusing on cardiology, diabetes, endocrinology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, hepatology, infectious diseases, haematology, nephrology, neurology, internal medicine and respirology. An exhibition held alongside the conference will also give delegates an opportunity to meet leading solution providers and examine new products on offer in the market.
"The conference aims to keep Omani doctors informed about the latest developments. We hope those attending will find the conference beneficial in bringing up to date their industry knowledge," said Dr Yaquob Al Mahrouqi, Sr. Consultant Chest Medicine & Director, Department of Medicine, The Royal Hospital. The RHO is inviting potential speakers to register their interest early and submit their abstracts by November 7, 2014.
