Muscat: Saud Bahwan Automotive, official distributors of Toyota vehicles in the Sultanate, recently launched all-new seven-seater Toyota Avanza in Oman, says a press release.

"The Avanza launch marks the entry of a supremely versatile and practical vehicle," remarked a Saud Bahwan Automotive spokesperson. "The new Avanza highlights Toyota's philosophy of introducing vehicles that not only feature a host of innovative and enhanced features, but also meet the growing demands of the brand's most discerning consumers. Apart from its enhanced interior space with three row of seats which can accommodate seven passengers, the Avanza also offers excellent fuel economy and manoeuvrability," he added.

"While Avanza's design speaks volumes about the vehicle's emphasis on enlarged space for both passengers and luggage, the strong body lends the vehicle its exceptional drivability and manoeuvrability attributes which facilitate a comfortable ride. Customers in the Middle East wanting to upgrade from a small sedan or a hatchback to accommodate a bigger family, now have the opportunity to own an Avanza that is not only highly practical, and safe but also boasts of the quality, durability and reliability that Toyota vehicles are renowned for globally," said Hiroki Nakajima, Chief Engineer, Toyota Motor Corporation.

Speaking on the occasion of the Avanza's launch, Nobuyuki Negishi, Chief Representative of Middle East and North Africa Representative Office, Toyota Motor Corporation, said, "The introduction of the Avanza in the Middle East complements our extensive product range with a supremely versatile and practical vehicle which has a dynamic appeal with its clever design.

The seven-seater Avanza provides comfortable seating for large families and offers ample luggage space even when the third-row seats are in use. This will make Avanza the preferred choice for large families who are looking for a vehicle that demonstrates exceptional ride comfort and ample storage space."

The Avanza has been designed keeping in mind the evolving needs and tastes of consumers from around the world. At 4,140 mm long, 1,660 mm wide and 1,695 mm high, the Avanza's external dimensions lead into an interior that is comfortably spacious for all the passengers with ample room for luggage and third-row seating.

The seven-seater Avanza is powered by a 1.5 L engine that can churn out a maximum output of 102 HP and a maximum torque of 136/4400 Nm/rpm. Owners have the option to choose from either four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission to enhance the vehicle's overall driving experience. The engine delivers a high level of performance under all driving conditions while facilitating improved fuel economy and low emissions.

Avanza's elongated window design establishes the vehicle's dynamic and spacious design theme. A sense of newness and strength stands out with the vehicle, with reassuring lower body architecture, emphasized rocker panel and wheel flare design. The Avanza has an aerodynamically designed windshield which has been given a shallower angle, smoothening the flow of air while the rear end of the roof panel has been slanted down, separating the flow of air from the vehicle's body.

With the third-row seating, Toyota Avanza can comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers with ample space for luggage, besides excellent comfort for the driver and the passengers. Avanza's seats ensure utmost ride comfort and offer a variety of seating configurations. For the front seats, a new seat frame construction has been adopted, ensuring side support while the three-dimensional shape radiates a sense of style. The saddle-shaped headrests of rear seats unify a clean design with excellent rear visibility for the driver.

Avanza's seat upholstery reflects the use of high quality materials judiciously selected to reinforce the vehicle's sense of functionality.
