The statement explained that the company had violated some operational regulations even though the Public Authority of Civil Aviation tried to sort out the company's problem. The Authority's statement did not explain the main reason behind the decision to stop the flight operation. On the other hand, a reliable source at the company informed the Times of Oman that the Authority's decision was not clarified to them. "When the company informs the Public Authority of Civil Aviation about our flights, they respond that due to operational reasons, they have cancelled the flights," said the source. He also said that the company will try to sort out the issue to resume the flights in two weeks' time. The UAE carrier used to operate flights to Muscat and Salalah to Abu Dhabi on a 50-seat Embraer aircraft. Embraer ERJ is a part of regional jets produced by Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace company. The aircraft are powered by two turbofan engines.
