Manah: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said received separately at Hisn Al Shumoukh in the wilayat of Manah this evening credentials of a number of ambassadors of friendly countries accredited to the Sultanate.
His Majesty received the credentials of Ali Akbar Seba'wyeh as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate.
Dr. Neil Hawkins as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Quentin Bryce, Governor-General of Australia to the Sultanate. Udaya Raj Pandey as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of President Ram Baran Yadav of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.
Thomas MacDonald as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Prof. David Johnston, Governor General of Canada to the Sultanate. Fernando Manuel De Goveia Aradjo as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of President Anibal Cavaco Silva of the Republic of Portugal to the Sultanate.
Hassan Abdullah Ali as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of President Girma Wolde Giorgis of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Sultanate and Fadi Charcho Ghalian as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of President Serzh Sargsyan of the Republic of Armenia to the Sultanate.
During the side meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed greetings of the leaders of their countries along with their best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan. They also wished the Omani people continuous progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty.
They expressed their utmost honour and delight to submit their credentials before His Majesty. They affirmed to exert their efforts to develop relations of their countries with the Sultanate in various fields to serve the joint interests of the Omani people and peoples of their countries.
His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors and thanking the leaders of their countries for their greetings and best wishes, affirming to the ambassadors that they will receive all support from His Majesty, the Government and the Omani people to facilitate carrying out their duties.
The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Head of the Royal Protocols, Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan.
