Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi has shipped at least 11 crude cargoes from the United Arab Emirates' port of Fujairah, allowing buyers to load oil outside the Strait of Hormuz chokepoint, four people with direct knowledge of the sales said.

State-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil has sold at least seven cargoes to refiners in Japan, South Korea and China since it began sending oil through a pipeline to Fujairah in July, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the shipments are confidential.

Adnoc, as the company is known, says exports are increasing gradually, without providing figures.
