Slashed bus fares on two airport routes to stay

Muscat: Oman’s national transport company, Mwasalat, will continue to offer bus tickets on the two Muscat International Airport routes at half price until the end of the year.
Tickets to the airport were being offered at 500 baisa from March 20, which was to continue until June 20. However, an extension of the discount prices was announced on their official Twitter handle. “In response to the desire of customers, and to support the company’s aspirations to provide optimal mobility for travelers, Oman’s national transport company, Mwasalat, extends 50 per cent discounts on Muscat International Airport routes 1A (Muscat International Airport-Al Mabella Bus Station) and 1B (Muscat International Airport – Ruwi Bus Station) until December 31, 2018,” a Mwasalat statement read.
The bus journeys take 30 minutes and have eight stops each. Moreover, the bus journeys begin at 5:50 am or 6 am.
The 1A bus starts from Muscat International Airport and makes stops in Burj Sahwa, Al Mawalih, Al Hail, Al Khoudh, and Al Mabelah, with the airport being the final stop, and then makes a return trip in the same direction.
The other bus, 1B, starts in Ruwi and stops at Wattayah, Qurum, Sarooj, Al Khuwair, Ghubra, and Athaiba, with the airport being its last stop, while again continuing back on the same route.
