Weather forecast: Parts of Oman to get hotter this weekend

Muscat: According to the weather forecast, parts of the Sultanate will get hotter during the weekend, Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) announced.
PACA’s weather report revealed that the highest temperatures recorded will be in the southern deserts, where temperatures are expected to touch 47 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.
Officials also said that areas along the Sea of Oman will heat up to 42 degrees Celsius on Friday and 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Areas directly south of the Al Hajar Mountains will not fare any better, with temperatures expected to touch 45 degrees Celsius and 46 degrees Celsius respectively over the next two days.
However, further south, parts of Oman on the Arabian Sea coastline such as Duqm, will enjoy a break from the summer heat, with temperatures dropping to 32 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile rains are expected to hit the Governorate of Dhofar this weekend and temperatures will drop to 29 degrees Celsius. Al Hajar Mountains too will record temperatures as low as 32 degrees Celsius on Friday and 30 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
