In pictures: Civil Defence attempts to keep tourists safe during Khareef season

Dhofar: With the annual Khareef season just around the corner, Civil Defence teams in the governorate of Dhofar have been attempting to ensure that tourists are kept safe.
The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance reported that it has been making sure that tourists are sufficiently informed of the potential dangers of swimming at tourist spots such as springs and parks.
During the Khareef season, which lasts from June 21 until mid-September, Dhofar attracts a large number of visitors and tourists both from inside and outside of the Sultanate, who come to enjoy the charming beauty of the Dhofari mountains and wadis. The season sees light rain, dew and fog on the mountaintops of Dhofar’s coastal regions.
