Muscat: The “Spread More Smiles” campaign launched by T FM 95.4 during the Holy Month of Ramadan has witnessed some incredible stories that uplift spirits and show that happiness multiplies tenfold if shared.

The campaign entered its third week picking up winners from all walks of life with some amazing stories to share.

Bassel Chammaa from Lebanon was one of the first winners of the week. He wanted to spend every penny on his four-month-old daughter. “I am so happy to win this amount. As far as the spending goes, it’s all going to my wife and daughter. A baby in the house means lots of nappy changes and this is where a fair share of the OMR100 will go,” said Bassel.

Mohammed Ali sent his younger brother, Mohammed Ibrahim, to collect the prize money. “Now that I have it in my hands, it’s all mine! I am not giving a single penny to him,” joked Ibrahim.

Amar Joseph was one of the luckiest winners T FM has had during the course of the entire campaign. He was visiting Oman from Dubai on a business trip and heard about the campaign on the radio and sent just a single message and won! “Surprisingly, I am very lucky with the radio! I previously won myself a Breitling watch in Dubai and OMR100 here, it’s just amazing,” he exclaimed.

Dr. Ashendu Pandey, an orthopedic surgeon working in Oman, said he would like to donate the entire amount to the hospital he works at.

“We have a special kitty managed by the hospital where doctors and the management get to donate certain amounts of money that help those who cannot afford medical treatment by paying their bills,” said Pandey. Soft-spoken Mohammad Naufal was the last winner of week 3. He too, like Bassel, is a new dad and wants to send all the money back home to India. “It’s almost Eid and I want to share this money with my family back home, get lots of gifts for my little girl,” he said.

“We are approaching the end of a very successful Ramadan campaign and we have surpassed our expectations with the initiative. It is a wonderful thing to see such amazing gestures by people winning the money and sharing their joy and ‘spreading smiles’ with their near and dear ones,” said Garima Bhandari, programme director at T FM 95.4.

“We are announcing our final car winner tonight and we are really very excited! This campaign has helped bring a change to many lives, which was our aim from the very beginning and what better way to ring in Eid and the festivities by giving a brand new car to someone,” she said.

“We would like to thank Omantel, Mitsubishi and Dar al Atta’a for being a part of this amazing campaign where collectively we helped bring about a change by giving away big prizes, as well as doing charity for those in need. The Ramadan Campaign – Spread More Smiles comes to an end today,” she added.
