OMR2.3 million Sultan Qaboos National Hyperbaric Centre set to open

Muscat: The Ministry of Health celebrates next week under the auspices of Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry the opening of the National Hyperbaric Centre project at the Royal Hospital in the Wilayat of Baushar which cost about OMR2.3 million.
The centre, set up on 851 square meters, has been provided with necessary medical equipment and instruments.
It comprises a department for medical records, a computer room, examination room, 3 triage rooms, a store and the main room which includes three devices for treatment with oxygen.
The devices are the best of their kind in the world in the field of hyperbaric medicine- two of them accommodating 12 persons each at the group treatment room and one device at a single treatment room.
The Center's staff were trained at specialised training centres in Germany and Austria, in addition to practical training in the medical complex at Said bin Sultan Naval Base.
