Royal Office Minister inspects damages from cyclone Mekunu

Salalah: Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office visited the Governorate of Dhofar on Monday.
He was accompanied by Maj.Gen. Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO). Gen. Al Nu’amani reviewed the damages caused by the tropical cyclone Mekunu.
He visited the Command of the Infantry Brigade “11” at the RAO.
Brigadier General Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Manthri, Commander of the Infantry Brigade “11” at RAO, Head of the Sub Military Committee in the Governorate of Dhofar, gave a briefing to the Minister of the Royal Office on the efforts made by the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan Armed Forces (SAF) to assist and restore conditions to normality as per the plan of the Main Military Committee for Management of Emergency Situations (SAF-MCMES).
The Minister of the Royal Office also visited the Emergency Management Department at the Sub Committee for Civil Defence in the Governorate of Dhofar Police Command. He was briefed on the duties of the center during the tropical condition.
Gen. Al Nu’amani praised the steady efforts made by the Ministry of Defence, the Sultan Armed Forces (SAF) and other respective organisations to restore conditions to normality.
