Mekunu: One dead after car gets washed away

Muscat: An Omani citizen was killed after his vehicle was washed away in a valley in Auqad.
Royal Oman Police (ROP), in a statement online, confirmed the registration of the second death of a citizen in the wake of Mekunu, stating, "The registration of the second death of a citizen after the drifting of his vehicle in a valley in the area of Auqad."
Police have asked citizens and residents not to leave their homes, or risk crossing the valleys and to follow safety instructions in life threatening situations.
